Why you need Evear
When booking, the consult and follow-up live in people's heads, growth stops the day you step out of the room. We turn how your best people work into processes the whole team runs — so the clinic keeps improving when you are not in it.
Our own clinics reached profitability within 18 months. Your plan is built against that number.
ISO 13485, MDSAP and GMP — from running regulated operations at national scale, not a textbook.
The person who scopes your engagement delivers it. No account team, no rotating juniors.
What we do
Most practices and start-ups have to hire a consultant, a designer, a development shop and a manufacturer separately — then manage the gaps between them. Evear covers all four, because the same person has worked every side of this industry.
Consultancy
End-to-end consulting for hearing healthcare businesses — start-up and expansion planning, LEAN Six Sigma operational audits and regulatory groundwork, from someone who has run the operations side of this industry, not studied it.
Design
We design the patient-facing and clinical workflows behind our software — turning technical hearing-test data into visuals a clinician can walk a patient through in the room, built for how a consult actually runs.
Engineering
Evear designs and ships its own software for hearing healthcare. OViz is engineered end-to-end, by people who understand the consult it supports.
Device
Custom hearing products taken from concept to something you can actually ship — ITE, ITC, CIC and IIC shells, earmoulds and hearing protection. Design, the 3D-printed production workflow, equipment and supplier qualification, and the regulatory file, led by someone who has commissioned exactly this for the Canadian market.
Inside the platform
Made by Evear for hearing clinics only — not a generic healthcare CRM bolted onto your workflow.
OViz oviz.ca
OViz sits in the moment that decides everything — the results conversation. It turns the measurements you already capture into projections a patient and their partner can see, talk through, and act on.
Intake, clinician inputs and results move through a single wizard that ends in a take-home report.
Brain Battery, Word Understanding, Conversation Access, the Partner Impact Mirror and the Real-Life Listening Map turn clinical numbers into everyday consequences.
A secure link or in-clinic kiosk, so chair time goes to the conversation instead of the clipboard.
Follow what changed after fitting — evidence for referrers, staff development and your own decisions.
Role-based access, per-location administration, a full audit trail, and consent-gated private photo storage.
How hard the brain is working to listen, today and over time.
A clear scenario for everyday speech clarity.
How far comfortable hearing reaches in real situations.
The shared, day-to-day effect on the people closest by.
The patient's own listening priorities, ranked in their words.
Interface illustration. Supplier-neutral and clinician-led — OViz presents projections for discussion; it does not give automated clinical advice.
How we work
No ninety-page report you will never open. Every stage closes with work implemented and a decision you can act on.
Week 1–2
We map what is actually happening — not what the org chart says.
Week 3–4
A prioritised plan with the numbers attached, sequenced by impact.
Month 2–4
We are in it with you. Systems get built, teams get trained, processes go live.
Ongoing
The compounding stage: tighten the loop, then repeat it in the next location.
Fixed scope. Fixed fee. Your data stays yours. Priced in writing before we begin, and everything we build — SOPs, dashboards, data — belongs to your practice from day one.

Straight answers
Including the one everybody wants answered first. If yours is not here, email sl@evear.ca and you will get a real reply.
Complimentary. Nothing is billed for it and nothing is owed afterwards.
A fixed fee, agreed in writing before it starts, scoped from what the audit actually found rather than a standard package.
Fixed scope and fixed fee, per location. No hourly billing and no open-ended retainer.
It depends on how many locations you run and what the audit finds, so there is no rate card. The Growth Blueprint is quoted from the audit itself, and you will have that figure before you commit to anything — the structure is set out above.
No. The consulting stands on its own, and a lot of what we fix — scheduling, pricing, SOPs, hiring, margins — has nothing to do with software.
We recommend OViz where it solves a problem the audit actually found. If you have just invested in other systems, we work with what you have.
Audit: weeks one to two. Growth Blueprint: weeks three to four. Implementation: typically months two to four, depending on locations and scope. Scale & Optimise is ongoing, and set up so that your own team runs it.
Yes to both. Pre-launch is the cheapest moment to build systems once instead of unpicking them later — and single-location practices usually hold the largest margin gains, precisely because everything still runs through the owner.
Yes. We are based in Mississauga and work with hearing practices across Canada. Most of an engagement runs remotely, with on-site time where it earns its keep — usually the audit itself and the go-live moments.
The founder, personally. What you agree in the audit is delivered by the same person, with nothing handed off to an account team or a junior once you sign.
Your practice owns it — SOPs, dashboards, campaign assets and patient data included — and that does not change when the engagement ends. You are never locked out of your own operating system.
It is a working session, not a discovery call. Bring whatever numbers you have — enquiries, booking rate, consult-to-fitting, chair utilisation — and we work through where the constraint actually sits. It is also a fit check in both directions: if Evear is not right for your practice, you will hear that on the call.
Yes. Everything you share about your practice stays between us, and a non-disclosure agreement is available on request — just ask before the call.
